ElectroMode: Paris Haute Couture - Fall-Winter 2013-14

È trascorso un po’ di tempo, ma avevo bisogno di quattro giorni di vacanza. A ogni modo, dopo la Valentinomania non avrei l’anima in pace se saltassi a piè pari tutto il resto. Ancora sono ossessionata dal report interruptus sul pret-à-porter - ma sto per recuperare, sapevatelo -, non potevo aggiungere un nuovo tassello al mio campionario di sensi di colpa.

Tutta questa psycho introduzione per finire il discorso sull’autunno-inverno 2013-14 della Paris Haute Couture.

I’ve needed four days’ holiday. But, after the Valentinomania I couldn’t pass over the rest. Therefore here is the report of the Paris Haute Couture fall-winter 2013-14.

Quasi che su Facebook l’ultima moda sia diventata distruggere Raf Simons, dopo la sfilata di Dior erano tanti i commenti sconsolati sulla morte della couture. Ovviamente niente di così tragico. Solo un approccio diverso, più essenziale e aderente alla contemporaneità lì dove ci si aspetterebbero i fuochi artificiali. L’ispirazione viene dall'influenza di Europa, America, Asia e Africa sull'universo Dior.

After the Dior fashion show there were on Facebook many disconsolate comments about the death of the couture. Obviously nothing so tragic. It’s just a matter of a different approach, more essential and faithful to the reality. The inspiration comes from the influence of Europe, America, Asia and Africa on Dior universe.

Alcuni capi molto chic in tweed e pied de poule grigio simboleggiano la Francia, i soprabiti dal taglio pulito e i foulard sportivi l’America, il tessuto lavorato a punte, le stratificazioni e i colli a kimono il Giappone mentre i drappeggi e i decori tribali i Masai.

Some very chic tweed and pied de poule items symbolize France, the sharp coats and the sport scarves America, the point fabric, the layers and the kimono necks Japan while the drapes and the tribal decorations the Masai.

Tra i particolari: i bottoni a pressione, le righe e le trasparenze. Capi cult: l’abito lungo con le stelle ricamate, quello nero con pannelli geometrici e i due visoni (il rosso che lascia le spalle scoperte e quello a righe).

Eteree e flessuose creature di porcellana quelle di Giambattista Valli. La collezione divisa in quattro parti è infatti ispirata ad alcune preziose porcellane di origine settecentesca: Capodimonte,

Giambattista Valli gives life to ethereal and graceful porcelain’s creatures. The collection - divided in four parts - is inspired by some precious eighteenth-century chinas: Capodimonte, Wedgwood, Sèvres and Meissen become short amphora and tutu silhouettes.

e Meissen rielaborate in silhouette per lo più corte, ad anfora o a tutù.

Su tutto un tripudio di fiori di ogni genere (3D o ricamati), di panneggi scultorei, di cristalli e di pizzo.

La sera è in lungo riletto attraverso doppie gonne, asimmetrie, un accenno di color block e linee a sirena.

There is a triumph of flowers (3D or embroidered), sculpted draperies, crystals and lace. The evening gowns are long, characterized by double skirts, asymmetries, color blocks and siren style.

Da Chanel il futuro si mischia col passato in un teatro fatiscente che si apre sullo scenario di una città quasi fantascientifica. Il punto di partenza è il cinema e Fritz Lang, anche se le acconciature ricordano la Rachel di Blade Runner e i cappelli Grace Jones.

At Chanel fashion show the future mingles with the past in a crumbling theatre. The starting point is the Fritz Lang’s cinema, even though the hairstyles remind Rachel of Blade Runner and the hats Grace Jones.

Tutti i classici della maison Chanel e di Lagerfeld ci sono ma reinterpretati con notevole profusione di cinturoni, cuissarde in camoscio, paillette, specchietti e bagliori metallici ma soprattutto con lavorazioni che creano effetti tridimensionali straordinari.

There are all the maison Chanel and Lagerfeld’s classics but they are reinterpreted with remarkable profusion of big belts, suede cuissardes, sequins, mirror’s fragments and metal glares but above all with makings that create extraordinary tridimensional effects.

Molto belle le gonne doppie e quelle gonfie e spumeggianti.

The double skirts and those ones foaming are very beautiful.

Capi cult: l’abito mosaico, quello con gonna a specchio, quello ricoperto di petali di stoffa e gli anelli multipli.

Cult items: the mosaic dress, that one with the mirror skirt, that one covered by fabric’s petals and multiple rings.

ARMANI PRIVÉ

Sorprendente la collezione Armani Privé. Terribilmente soft, delicata e immersa in un color nude di evanescente perfezione. Il mood anni Trenta garantisce un’eleganza assoluta, morbida e sinuosa ma priva di sdolcinatezze, in cui finalmente gli stilemi della maison appaiono pieni di vita e di splendore. Satin, chiffon, pizzo, cristalli, organza, hollywoodiane piume di struzzo e soprattutto crinolina in nastri delineano un susseguirsi in crescendo di tailleur, completi pantalone e abiti da sera d’incredibile bellezza. Tutto nude, tutto senza mostrare alcunché.

The Armani Privé collection is amazing; terribly soft, fine and nude. The Thirties mood assures an absolute and sinuous elegance but free from treacles; the maison’s characteristics seem full of life and magnificence. Satin, chiffon, lace, crystals, organza, Hollywood ostrich-feathers and above all crinoline ribbons sketch a sequence of suits, pants suits and unbelievably beautiful evening gowns.

Capi cult: l’abito nero con pantaloni chiari, quello da sera a balze e il completo cipria con gonna di raso e pelliccia di piume.

Maison Martin Margiela mi piace in versione haute couture. E anche questa volta non ha deluso con le sue rielaborazioni di capi vintage. Tende anni Venti, vestiti di scena anni Trenta e latex nascono a nuova vita. Capi cult: gli abiti-giacca coi fiori e quello a vestaglia interamente ricamato.

I like Maison Martin Margiela in couture version. And also this time it hasn’t disappointed with its customizations of vintage items. Twenties curtains, Thirties stage costumes and latex reborn. Cult items: the jacket-dresses with flowers and the embroidered night-gown.

Con Iris Van Herpen come sempre si entra in un altro mondo in cui il futuro di abiti in latex e microfibra tagliata a laser si fonde con forme organiche prese in prestito da insetti e animali osservati al microscopio. Capi cult: l’abito lungo argento con collo montante, quello con le frange impazzite e quello che sembra fatto di uccelli impagliati.

The Iris Van Herpen world is a mix of future - latex and laser cut microfiber - and organic shapes borrowed by insects and animals watched with the microscope. Cult items: the long silver dress, that one with crazed fringes and that one with stuffed birds.

Viktor & Rolf per festeggiare i 20 anni della maison tornano all’haute couture con 20 look molto concettuali e rigorosamente in nero, caratterizzati da maxi zip e imbottiture ergonomiche. Coupe de théâtre finale, gli outfit messi insieme formano un giardino zen.

Viktor & Rolf celebrate the maison’s twentieth birthday with 20 very conceptual and dark looks, characterized by maxi zips and ergonomic paddings. Final coupe de théâtre: the outfits form a zen garden. Cult items: the dress with layered cape and that one asymmetrical.
