“For twelve weeks, the city is ours”. È lo slogan della settima stagione di The Warehouse Project, serata diventata in breve tempo famosa in tutto il mondo e considerata fra gli eventi imperdibili per i clubber duri e puri.

A partire dal 2006, ogni fine settimana da settembre fino alla fine dell’anno, The Warehouse Project rende Manchester capitale della musica elettronica.

Sin dagli anni ’80 la città dei mancuniani si è affermata come luogo di culto per gli amanti delle tendenze e delle sonorità più innovative. Il locale The Hacienda ha fatto storia tra il 1982 e il 1997, trainato dai successi dei New Order e dell’etichetta indipendente Factory Records; il Sankeys è considerato uno dei migliori club al mondo; e poi – come già detto – The Warehouse Project.

“For twelve weeks, the city is ours”. It’s the slogan of the seventh season of The Warehouse Project, series of club nights become famous all over the world and considered as unmissable event for the “true clubbers”.

Since 2006 – every weekend since September until the end of the year – The Warehouse Project has made Manchester capital of electronic music.

Since the 1980s the Mancunians’ city has established itself as cult place for the lovers of the most innovative trends and sounds. The Hacienda, driven by the success of New Order and independent label Factory Records, made history between 1982 and 1997; Sankeys is considered one of the best world-club; and then – as already said – The Warehouse Project.

Per la settima stagione la serata cambia nuovamente location. Dopo aver iniziato a Boddingtons Brewery, traslocato a Manchester Piccadilly, è approdato ora a Victoria Warehouse nella zona di Trafford Park. Un posto in grado di contenere 5000 persone in tre sale. Una cattedrale nel deserto di un’area industriale.

For the seventh season the party has changed the location again. At the beginning Boddington Brewery, then Manchester Piccadilly, finally Victoria Warehouse at Trafford Park: a place with a capacity of 5000 people. A cathedral in the desert of an industrial area.

La lista di nomi che hanno calcato e calcheranno il palco del The Warehouse Project è infinita: da Nicolas Jaar a Andrew Weatherall, da Carl Cox a Four Tet, dai Soulwax ai Simian Mobile Disco, da Ricardo Villalobos a Laurent Garnier e così via. Consideriamo questo fine settimana: venerdì 30 c’è l’Annie Mac party con Justice, Magnetic Man, Disclosure e tanti altri; il giorno successivo il Resident Advisor party con Orbital, Modeselektor, Apparat, Mathew Dear e via dicendo.
