au jour le jour: in bilico tra Joan Crawford e lo zoo dei nostri sogni

Se siete di quelle che durante le sfilate preferiscono gettare un occhio al popolo del front row più che alle passerelle, dovreste ricordarvene.
Parlo del total look panda sfoggiato da Viviana Volpicella alla Milano Fashion Week di settembre e immortalato - tra gli altri - da Tommy Ton di Style.com e da Nam di Grazia.it.

I’m talking about the panda look displayed by Viviana Volpicella at Milano Fashion Week in September and immortalized - among the others - by Tommy Ton of Style.com and by Nam of Grazia.it.


Eccentrico ma anche colorato e divertente, il completo camicia-pantalone colonizzato da tutti i panda viventi è uno di quegli outfit che non si dimenticano.
E infatti non l’ho dimenticato così come non ne ho dimenticato gli autori: il duo Mirko Fontana-Diego Marquez ovvero au jour le jour.
Eccentric but also coloured and enjoyable, the suit shirt-pants - colonized by all the living pandas - is one of those outfits that you can’t forget.

Finalisti all’edizione 2011 di Who Is On Next?, Mirko e Diego vantano background eterogenei e non in tema: laurea in economia aziendale e posizione da marketing manager per Mirko, laurea in ingegneria edile e lavoro presso uno studio d’architettura per Diego.
Poi la marcia d’avvicinamento con la comunicazione moda e il commerciale per un brand di abbigliamento, fino alla decisione di unire le forze e assecondare la comune passione.
Il risultato è uno stile fresco, romantico e delicato con semi di follia, tocchi anni Ottanta e accenti rétro che rimandano al divismo hollywoodiano di Joan Crawford e Marlene Dietrich.


Finalists at the 2011 edition of Who Is On Next? contest, Mirko and Diego boast heterogeneous backgrounds: degree in business economics and a position of marketing manager for Mirko, degree in construction engineering and a work with an architecture practice for Diego.

Then the approach march with the fashion communication and the commercial for a clothing brand, until the decision to combine forces and second the common passion.

Che dire? Io adoro gli animali e scommetto che anche voi - come me - sareste ben liete di dare asilo nel vostro armadio allo zoo in continua evoluzione di au jour le jour.  
Surely this is the most original and pretty “animalier” recently sighted.
