Au Jour, Ballin e Rodo ce l’ho, Galitzine ce l’ho, Brian Atwood anche, a questo punto ne restano solo due per concludere el dia de la muerte e saltare nel letto con tuffo carpiato.

Ho fatto più giri io nel giorno X di una comitiva in viaggio organizzato. Comunque, tant’è.

Ricongiuntami a una delle mie amiche più care, procediamo verso il Grand Hotel et De Milan per Paula Cademartori. Due visite a distanza di ore in un luogo in cui non ero mai stata prima è un bel record.
La presentazione è in una deliziosa saletta con colonne neocorinzie. L’atmosfera è calda e briosa ma rilassata.

Me and one of my best friends go to the Paula Cademartori presentation at the Grand Hotel et de Milan. The atmosphere - in an adorable room with neo-Corinthian columns - is warm and lively but relaxed.

Sui tavoli loro, quelle borse speciali che in pochissimo tempo stanno tributando un successo crescente alla giovane designer, tra i 10 finalisti di Who Is On Next? 2011. Le riconosci subito, con la fibbia in nickel, i tagli geometrici

On the tables there are those special bags which (in record time) are bestowing a growing success to the young designer (one of the 10 finalists of Who Is On Next? 2011). You recognize immediately them, with the nickel buckle, the geometrical cuts and the incredibly successful colors combinations.

Per il prossimo autunno-inverno Paula si è ispirata all’Art Déco, ai particolari delle sculture di Lee Lawrie,

For the next fall-winter Paula draws her inspiration from Art Déco and the details of the Lee Lawrie sculptures joined to a contemporary chromatic sensitivity.

Notevoli le tonalità dai nomi evocativi - Rockefeller grey, Bauhaus mustard o Poiret orange -,

C’è da impazzire tra rombi multicolor,

ELISABETTA FRANCHI

Dal piacevole relax del de Milan al Four Seasons per Elisabetta Franchi.

Qui, nel piano interrato dell’hotel si apre un mondo: un’adunata oceanica di gente che ride, scherza, beve, con l’aggiunta di un po’ di vip intenti a farsi fotografare. Come faranno a essere tutti tirati a lucido dopo una giornata così è un mistero.

After the enjoyable relaxation of the Grand Hotel et de Milan we go to the Elisabetta Franchi presentation at the Four Seasons. Here, in the hotel’s basement we find a multitude of persons which laughs, plays around and drinks, with the addition of vips which strike a pose in front of the photographers. At the end of the room a giant screen projects unbelievable feminine faces, like Linda Evangelista.

Sul fondo della sala uno schermo gigante proietta volti di semidee, tipo questa Linda Evangelista d’annata.

Nel dubbio beviamo anche noi, scambiamo quattro chiacchiere e ci guardiamo attorno alla ricerca della collezione. Stiamo per gettare la spugna, quando per puro caso ci troviamo dall’altro lato del labirinto umano ed ecco.

Impeccabili abitini a sacco anni Sessanta,

We drink too, we converse, but where is the collection? We are on the verge of throwing in the towel, when by accident we find ourselves from the other side of the human labyrinth and - incredible! - there it is the collection. There are Sixties style sack dresses, attires with emphasized waist, more masculine outfits, skirts with micro fringes, frills everywhere, delicate blouses, geometrical prints, eco-fur jackets.

The inspirations are different (Ava Gardner, Katharine Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy) but unified by soft tones and by a chic-rétro aura with echoes of Valentino and YSL. The accessories - especially the gloves - are interesting.
